7th CONFERENCE
DAIRY & CHEESE MAKING
Information workshops will be held alongside the exhibition, with the possibility of free attendance by visitors and exhibitors. The workshops will provide comprehensive information on current issues of technology, production, legislation and international market trends, while surveys related to the Greek consumer will be presented. In addition, issues related to livestock farming and dairy production in our country will be analysed by expert scientists.
The focus of the discussions will lay on issues concerning the organising of exports, the markets for further expansion and the demand for Greek products abroad.
The workshops will take place in the framework of the 7th Dairy & Cheese Conference, which is being held in cooperation with ELGO-DIMITRA and the Hellenic Milk Institute of Ioannina.
TRADITIONAL CHEESE MAKING & SMALL CREAM / ICE CREAM WORKSHOPS
At DAIRY EXPO 2024, as in previous exhibitions, the traditional family-owned cheese factory will be presented in simulation, which will operate in real time and will be making cheese for the duration of the exhibition. This concept will showcase the integrated and intelligent solutions offered by professional equipment suppliers to small family farms, so that they can make cheese from their own milk or produce other dairy products and ice cream. An original idea that has been well received in previous events by small producers and livestock farmers.
IN COOPERATION WITH THE AMERICAN SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE
5th GREEK CHEESE CONTEST
The 5th Greek Cheese Competition will be held at the 7th DAIRY EXPO. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to participate with their cheese products and be evaluated by the jury composed of experts. This is a process in which cheese products will be graded and evaluated by teams of scientists specialised in dairy and cheese products, where the name of the producer will not be known to the judges until the announcement of the results. The aim of the competition is to showcase the quality products available in the Greek cheese industry. Organoleptic evaluation in cooperation with the American Agricultural School.
